M.E. Nyberg is an author, educator, and award-winning filmmaker. He studied creative arts under August Coppola and earned his M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from San Francisco State University. After College, he spent 17 years in the entertainment industry in California and worked as a production and location manager on feature films such as Junior, A Walk in the Clouds, and Heart and Souls. He also has credit as a touring camera man for major artists including Eric Clapton, NSYNC, Shakira, and Andrea Bocelli. He is a devoted educator who has taught at San Francisco State University, Grand Valley State University, West Shore Community College, Muskegon Community College, and currently teaches screenwriting and filmmaking at Baker College of Michigan.


The Shade Series is his first book series and he is also working on children's books, which are the spin-off of the Shade Series. He lives with his family in Hart, Michigan, is an avid reader, photographer, and gardener.
